Personique Introduces Perma Facial Implant™ as Alternative to Injectable Fillers
FDA approved, silicone-based implant gives patients choice when considering facial and lip augmentation
AUSTIN, TEXAS – 6, October 2009 – Personique Surgery Center is pleased to introduce Perma Facial Implant™ by SurgiSil as a safe, alternative to injectable fillers for patients considering permanent tissue augmentation for the face and lips. Perma Facial Implant, introduced as a patented, FDA approved device, is made of a soft, solid silicone elastomer using an injection molding process to produce a naturally contoured implant with a smooth, non-porous surface.
Cynthia Wilman is the latest Personique patient to choose the implant. While initially desiring fuller lips, Cynthia was even more concerned about the lines around her mouth. “Over time, the lines became more pronounced, making me look much older than I was. Even something as simple as chapstick would bleed into the lines.”
In the past Cynthia tried auto fat, fillers, and collagen, but soon decided she wanted a more permanent augmentation. Featured on “The Doctors” nationally syndicated television show, Perma Facial Implant is composed of a material ideally suited for use in the facial tissues to minimize “tissue in-growth” that can lead to restricted or unnatural movement. The device has undergone extensive clinical testing to ensure its safety and efficacy in preventing ruptures or deflations, and although permanent, may be removed at any time. Available in a variety of diameters and lengths to accommodate the uniqueness of each person’s tissue characteristics, a Perma Facial Implant procedure can be performed in-house under local anesthesia in approximately 20 minutes.

Although results vary with each individual, patients can expect to experience minimal bruising and swelling, sensitivity, slight discomfort, and will be able to resume to normal activity within 2-3 days. Because of such varying results and unique tissue characteristics among individuals, Dr. Narsete highly stresses patients arrange a complimentary consultation to discuss desired goals, results, and a full evaluation.
Dr. Narsete is one of the first surgeons to be published in a study relating to this procedure, which is scheduled to appear in next month’s issue of Aesthetic Surgery Journal.
