Breast Augmentation Recovery
Austin Breast Augmentation Recovery & Down Time
What to Expect After Getting Breast Implants
Breast augmentation surgery is the most popular plastic surgery procedure in the world. Every year, hundreds of thousands of women elect to undergo breast enlargement surgery to enhance their bust. Breast augmentation in Austin is an increasingly popular choice for women dissatisfied with the size of their breasts, and we have performed thousands of successful breast implant procedures over the years.
Despite the popularity of this procedure and the development of safer, more effective breast augmentation techniques, many women are still hesitant about having the surgery because they are worried about breast augmentation recovery. As with any surgery, there will be somewhat of a recovery period involved. However, breast augmentation recovery is considered to be fairly mild in comparison to other cosmetic procedures like a facelift or a tummy tuck.
One of the most common questions that we get from our Austin breast augmentation patients is, "When can I return to work?" The answer to this question will vary from patient to patient. The level of discomfort experienced during your Austin breast augmentation recovery will depend on a number of factors. The incision type, implant size and placement can all affect an individual patient's experience during breast augmentation recovery. Of course, the individual's personal tolerance for pain will be a factor as well. Regarding returning to work, this will also depend on the patient's job description. If the patient has a sedentary job, they will typically be able to return to work sooner than someone with a more labor-intensive job. Most patients with desk jobs will be able to return to work in a matter of a few days.
Below is a list of general guidelines for post-operative care during your breast augmentation recovery period.
